What is Newgie?
This is the age of social web. Like the Digg news site, Newgie collects news articles, stories from web and ranks them to sort out the good stories from the sinking ones. The stories collected and organized into many categories for the reader’s ease. Registered users can rank score the news items. The community powers and decides what is good and what is not.

How it works?
IntelliRank ™, the ranking engine governs the rank of each article within each category. It does the important job of filtering out the good articles – the most interesting and most relevant ones. The most essential criteria include the amount of attention an article receives from Newgie users. When users view, recommend, make a comment, – each action has a corresponding score and it is noted by the algorithm. Of course, scores are ery dynamic and as the time goes, current news get ranked higher – which is good (and slightly dfferenet from Digg and Del.icio.us).
