Your system regularly hangs up, drags slowly? A quick, easy and free way to find out if your PC is infected by a Virus or malware. Infected or Not is a free webs service provided by Panda Softwares which scans your PC for the infection of viruses, trojans and spywares (there are 8 lakhs of them!).

Currently, the stats section of their site says about 60% of the scanned PCs are found to be infected. And, finding an infection is great. But, how do you cure them for free.

Here it is.

1. There is a free edition of antivirus software available (which I use) named AVG Free. Unlike Norton AV, it does not hamper the speed of the PC.

2. Also, try the award-winning open source software named ClamWin – this is a non-profit, free software project.
