Schedule & Publish Blog Posts for a Future Date in New Blogger
Wordpress offers a “Timestamp” feature that helps to write a blog post for a future date. When the scheduled time is reached, the post goes online. Blogger does not have the future and this is really an useful future that I suggested them in their “Feedback Form” an year ago. Till the future comes from Blogger, you can follow these simple steps to auto-publish blog posts for a future date.
Get Ready for “Auto publishing in Blogger”! I came to know about future email services such as FutureMe and LetterMeLater from Amit Agarwal’s Digital Inspiration
Step 1:
Log in to your Blogger account. Go to Settings —> Email —> Now for, “Mail-to-Blogger Address” – give an unique keyword to identify your blog – say, myblog5678. Then, note down the email id – it will be like this yr_user_id.some_keyword@blogger.com
Keep this email id safely and private. Anything emailed to this specific email-id will get published on your blog (no matter from which email-id you send it from, OK?)
When you send an email to this post, Blogger publishes to your blog. Easy one – just make sure you tick for “Publish”. If not, your emails will be stored as drafts.
Step 2:
We will use a service named LetterMeLater to send an email from at a future date and time. It is a great service to schedule an email so, we will use it write a blog post and schedule it for a later publishing. OK?
Register with LetterMeLater and click on “Compose” –> Write the blog post, do spell check. After finished writing your blog post, enter your blog-specific email-id (e.g. yr_user_id.some_keyword@blogger.com) into the “To” address, pick a date and time for auto-publishing (see pic below).
That’s it. Your blog post will go live on the specific time and date. Now, you can write your blog posts over the weekend and schedule it for publishing on the weekdays – one each day – so, you make sure that you don’t need to hurry up for posting something new every day. Rock on, bloggies!
Is there any better service that will do the same for Blogger?
