I've blogged on Blogger and I appreciate it.
Now I want to have my own domain( >>..com), to make a site.
So, I want to buy a custom domain from blogger, but, please tell me, what I had to pay to apear my site ( only the domain – that 10 uSD) – or more?
Is difficult for me, because I don't understand english very-very qelll. Please, help me.

Ok I understand the value of having a domain name. But should I purchase it from Google or through someone else?

If I do purchase from google and want to move my site to say squarespace or something how easy will it be?

Still new to this as it seems I am renting the domain name not full ownership.

YES. Blogger automatically redirects all your blogspot links to new custom domain
"2. Feedburner feeds - what are the necessary updates?"
All your atom /RSS feeds can be redirected to Feedburner

"3. Technorati ?"
You need to re-claim your blog with the new domain. It will take few weeks to regain the authority.

"4. Search results drop?"
Search results may drop for a while, but will be replaced soon. so, is the pagerank. You will gain the previous pagerank at the next update.

1. New links to the new domain (do they add up with the old ?)
2. Feedburner feeds - what are the necessary updates?
3. Technorati ?
4. Search results drop?

You've provided some excellent reasons for having a custom domain! This is a truly great post to read!

I've blogged extensively with Wordpress before, and while there are umpteen add-ons and customisations available, I still prefer Blogger for the simplicity, ease of posting and all the free features! In fact, I've discovered there is very little you can do with Wordpress that cannot be done with Blogger too, given a few widgets, add-ons and effort!
