It also must be considered that Digg users have an idea of what they are going to get when they click to go to your website. It is often blind luck with StumbleUpon.

I don’t get stumbleupon. I signed up, stumbled one of my websites, made a friend, they gave me a thumbs up on my website and a review, I have been stumbling other people’s websites, but two weeks later, I haven’t even recieved one visitor to my website. How are all of you getting visitors? http://www.10thousandpeople.com.

I believe this is a statement and not a question. Perhaps annon should brush up on its English usage. If it was “Why is” that would be a question. Anon is simply a cowardly attention whore and any comment back simply pumps up their non-ego for another go round of their half brain as they try to prove their importance yet hide behind internet anonymity.

If you want to drive traffic to your blog using S/U – sign up, go to the page you want to promote and thumb it up. Now you have to hope that Stumblers who find your page will also thumb it up but beware because the thumb down can cause your page to be excluded from the random stumble – S/U works well because it doesn’t respond well to spammers. If the community doesn’t like a site it simply is ignored.

Stumble provides me with a consistent 10 hits per day (often spike much higher), and those folks will tend to look around a little bit…

Digg…. well, after I Dugg what I thought were my better articles after signing up, they banned me. So @#$% Digg….

I’m not sure “lazy” is the right term to describe stumblers. I just like something that just “works”. I spend to long dealing with Microsoft errors to want to complicate my life any more. I’m not sure that clicking and typing any more makes you any less lazy anyway ; it’s only finger exercise and solving puzzles that shouldn’t exist/
