Doodle 4 Google is a contest organized by Google for school children to design a doodle logo for Google.
The contest has been organized in different age categories and across different states. The winning logo will get featured on the Google Main Search page on Australia Day, 2008.
320 State and Territory Finalists
The best 320 doodles from across the country will be chosen via our judging criteria. In each State and Territory, ten doodles will be selected in each of the four year group brackets. This means that each year group bracket and each State and Territory will be equally represented.32 State and Territory Winners
Our judging panel will choose 32 top doodles to become our State and Territory Winners. In each of the eight States and Territories, each year group bracket will have one winner. These State and Territory Winners will be displayed in a gallery on this website. The Australian public will then vote for which doodles they think best captures the theme "My Australia".4 National Year Group Winners
An awards ceremony will be held (location TBA) and attended by members of our judging panel and the 32 State and Territory Winners. The votes of the Australian people will be counted and the National Year Group Winners will be announced.1 National Winner
The four Year Group Winners, chosen by the Australian public, will be put forward for one to be awarded "National Winner of Doodle 4 Google – My Australia". Dennis Hwang, Google's Webmaster, will pick the National Winner whose doodle will 'go live' on Google Australia's homepage for 24 hours.
Here's your chance to vote for the Google Doodles. Encourage kids, go and make their day.
