How to Generate Ideas out of Nowhere

When ever you face a problem firstly gather information about it, analyze it and then arrive to solutions. Now for example consider someone who has never heard of an idea of ‘wheel’. That is, he has never considered the fact that things can be made to roll. So he goes about carrying animals or things or humans either manually or by dragging or lifting too.

Imagine the effort and time it will take him to complete even simple tasks in life to travel.

Become an idea factory by following these handy tips -

1. Initially you need to overcome few basic assumptions and perform all kinds of experiments upon the thought process. It enables you to discover the idea that it can be possible.

2. Keenly observe things and have a desire of examining things from new angles.

3. In order to generate new ideas you have to take your mind away from ordinary and regular solutions.

4. Provoke your thoughts and give freedom to your mind to think as it likes about it.

6. Realize that a mindset helps in one situation but not work in other situation.

7. Overcome mindset which has been created by years of training and habit.

8. Start looking for new uses and applications of things, facts and laws.

9. Rearrange the problem situation, to see new relationships among the different parts.

10. Suspend judging of ideas till they are thoroughly examined.

11. Search for the root of the problem for which you want an idea to solve it.

Strategies to generate ideas –

• Increase the number of possible implications which means chances to use that idea.

• Change the way you have been looking at the problem situation. It will create a space for new ideas to flow.

• Examine the problem or problems from different views and combine the different parts to form new situations.

• Point of view must be from different directions and participants in the problems.

• Divide the problem in parts and evaluate their functions. This way you will create new thoughts that will generate different lines of inquiry.
