Eating right and eating in right quantities is the only way to be healthy. By the way, what is good food, anyway? Good food is the food that will not produce any ill-effects for your body. You will feel fresh and healthy when you eat, will give sufficient energy when you finished eating. Everyone is unique and has different dietary needs. Fresh vegetables, fruits and nuts are generally considered as good food.

Here are few reasons why you should eat right food.

1. Eating fresh food will keep your health – you know how you feel after eating a double-layered-cheese pizza. Tired and overly stressed more than that, stuffed. Eating fresh food keeps your skin shiny, healthy and naturally you will have a youthful, good look. You would like to keep yourself healthy, don’t you? Choose your food carefully to live healthy

2. Eating fresh food is enjoyable – eating fresh food is a very pleasant experience. Nutritious food always makes you feel happy because you know you are eating good food and that will make you happy.

3. Eating fresh food is environment-friendly – when you try to eat uncooked food or minimally cooked food, you are not using much energy to cook. So, you can reduce your energy bills and will learn to live an environment-friendly way.

4. Eating fresh food is easy – you won’t need to spend time in cooking (frying, steaming). Just make a plate of salads by cutting fresh vegetables, add some salt and seasoning, your meal is ready. You will start enjoying such fresh food.

Stress has become a biggest part of everyone’s life. Stress can be due to physical, emotional or mental challenges. You can’t avoid being stressful but, you can handle stress to overcome the ill-effects of being stressful.

1. Become physically active – get up and walk or run, by changing your physical state, you can instantly relive your stress.

2. Laugh – listen to a joke or tell a joke to someone. Laugh together. Laugh until your face hurts (nearly).

3. Listen to kids – watching a baby smile or listening to a story told by a kid will make your stress vanish.

4. Express how you feel – talk about your feelings, write about them or paint them. Just let it out how you feel.

5. Simplify – may be you are pushing yourself too much, so take a break and simplify things. Sometimes it is a smart job to walk away from a stressful deal or work.

6. Eating right – eating fresh food is believed to release your stress. Don’t ever do the mistake of cramming yourself with fast foods, when you are stressed.

7. Be with Friends and Family – develop some relationships that will make you forget all your worries; put you into a comfortable state.

Lists are great, if you have used to have a simple, to-do-list, you know the effectiveness of lists. Lists help you to increase your productivity and it is a great feeling when you put a tick against a thing you scheduled to finish.

Here are few reasons why you should have a list to get more things done in less time.

1. Lists are a great organizing tool
If you don’t know where to start, start making a list of things to do. A step-by-step is very easily communicated and understood.

2. Lists will simplify things
Don’t know how to solve a big problem? Break down into a number of simple tasks in the form a list. Start with number one on your task list.

3. Lists give you confidence
The great utility of a list is when you finish an activity on the list; you can put a tick against it. This would provide immense confidence on your progress; after all, you have crossed the first, tough milestone and only few more to finish the whole list of things to do.

4. Lists can be shared
If you plan to solve a problem in a group, a lists is a great way to share tasks. You can delegate tasks and assign few tasks (items on the list) to each person and you can easily monitor the progress.

5. Everyone loves lists
Lists are easy to read because, they are already organised for easy reading. This is why lists are more popular with web readers and anyone who comes across a list will always check out or even save it for future reference. Bigger the list, better it will be for audience.

We all have problems. Some seems big and some seems small. Here are some tips to solve almost any kind of problem no matter how big they are; no matter who you are. Think of a problem as an opportunity to learn new things. May be a problem will teach you a lesson or help you to overcome a fear. Problems will appear to come back to you until you learn to master them.

1. Every problem has a solution, whether you are aware of it or not. And no matter what problem you may face, there are already people who might have successfully solved it.

2. Break down the problem into manageable chunks. Write down the sub-problems or the tasks you need to achieve.

3. Imagine that you successfully solve the problem. Clearly visualize that you are happy after solving the problem.

4. Most of the problem is in your mind.

5. You gather relevant information, people who can solve it. Learn to distinguish the real problem from the problems that you are imagining. Most of the time, we fear about the after effects, which stop us from taking actions.

6. Gather enough information to approach the problem. Can you find an expert who is good at solving these types of problems? Can you ask your friends to refer someone who might know the know-how of solving this kind of problem?

7. Talk with people who can find a solution to the problem. If one can’t solve it, ask them who else will be able to solve the problem.

8. Be prepared to change your approach if your solution doesn’t work. There are more than one way to solve a problem. Keep some backup plans in case if a solution fails.

9. Sometimes starting from the end result and working backwards can result in a solution. Start from the desired result.

10. Always remember. Every problem has a good solution. You just need to find it. Ask for help. Your friends or the people who care about you are waiting for an opportunity to help you. All the best.

So, why should you thank someone who let you stay in his home or why should thank someone who bought a book and sent you? Thanking is a way to let people that you appreciate them for doing a thing. You need to let know people how you felt because of their act and this will encourage the people to do more good things for you. Thank you notes always make the receiver happy and you will also feel happy for writing one. Saying a short Thank you message or hand-writing one is a good habit that cultivates kindness.

1. When should you write a Thank You note?
Always. Write a Thank You note, whenever you want to appreciate a small act of kindness or help that you received. For every occasion, you can write a small Thank You note and if you are in doubt, please write one. Say and write “Thank You” more often.

2. Write a personal note
Don’t just buy a Thank You card, sign and send it. Instead, take a small piece of paper and write a personal note to the person you are thanking. Say a short note, but don’t stop with ‘Thank you for your help’. Write how you really felt when you received the help, and how will you use a gift (money) that you received.

3. Write with your hand-writing
You can type an SMS or send a quick email but, a hand-written “Thank You” note is always very special. If you can, write a personalised note, scan it and send it.

4. Be courteous and kind
Even if you don’t like a gift you have received, just write you are happy that the person remembered you and sent you the gift. You do want to encourage people those who are helping you. If you stayed at your friend’s home, write the extra care you received and how happy and safe you felt staying at their home.

5. Write immediately
If you think about writing a Thank You note after few days, you may forget it. Or it could be less relevant. So, as soon as possible , write and post a Thank You note.

If you are in the company of eagles, you will soar high and if not, you will be among the rest. This is why it is very important to choose your friends wisely. You can be good with everyone but you can choose with whom you would want to get close with. I have a very small circle of close friends whom I trust and I cherish their friendships. We share our experiences, happiness together and encourage each other to grow. So, how do you find if a person will be a good friend or not?

Here’s a Checklist.
1. Can you trust the person? If the person is nice to talk to but spills your secrets and teases you when you are not present, just forget that person.

2. Does the person has some good values? Check for values such as honesty, respectful, sincere and caring

3. Does the person really feel happy for your successes? Does the person feels jealousy or negative when you succeed?

4. Does the person has a good respect (being courteous) for other people? Check how they behave towards a waiter or shop assistant.

5. Does the person has a positive outlook for life? I wouldn’t want to hang around with a person who is a dooms-day-messenger.

6. Does the person is cheerful? Come any situation, can the person remain cheerful, accept the situations as it is and move on?

7. Does the person is really interested in you? When you make a mistake, is the person stopping you or warning you?

8. Does the person get along with different kinds of people easily?

9. Does the person point out your mistakes when you are alone (not in front of a group) in an interest to develop you?

10. Does the person give you enough space for yourself? I wouldn’t want to be a friend of someone who always pesters me with my own life and blackmails me emotionally all the time.

I think the checklist will apply for choosing a life partner as well. Because, how can you share your lifetime with someone who is not a friend of yours?

Oops.. almost forgot to wish you. Have a great new year ahead!

Usually any learning procedure involves –

1. Acquiring information.
2. Organizing information.
3. Memorizing information.
4. Reproducing information.

Some of the points that help you makes your learning process easier are –

Positive attitude towards the learning process mentioned as it helps to concentrate on your work.

A reference frame in your mind – This helps to identify the gaps in your knowledge and helps you ask yourself questions.

Identify your way of getting information whether you are comfortable to get them visually or doing it directly. Better use all means of learning methods but follow the one you prefer.

Follow these steps – Research, question, read, represent and review. It means to collect information then make questions for yourself then read and understand those questions. Now you answer them by whatever you had in mind while doing research and collecting information. Finally review or evaluate your answers to rank yourself.

If the concept you are trying to learn to complicated and difficult then,

Write a synopsis – List of important points.
Conduct an inquiry.
Remember the purpose of learning it.

i. Reflect on your information which means derive and know about its applications in real time.

ii. Make the most of your memory – Explore how your memory works as it.

iii. Use memory aids for reproducing information like flash cards, flowcharts so that you can memorize information.
E.g. Flash cards can be any simple paper that has question on one side and answer on the other side. They are effective since you can carry them anywhere and be your own questionnaire.

iv. Use the information –
When you use the information you have collected it means that you are implementing
It. This helps you to think over the information and remember them easily.

v. Evaluate your self – If you examine how you learn, in general you will find out the areas you can improve. So that you can make action plan to correct yourself.

However remember that these tips will help you only if you have committed and actively interested in learning.

Identifying what aspects are most important to you and deciding what you want to achieve is the task you need to work on for planning in life.

• Firstly, it gives you a kind of focus and concentration into your world which has become complicated because of many options available out now.

• In today’s world there are so many things to do at any time. Indirectly there are too many diversions and distractions that deviate your attention.

• Goals clarify as they clearly present our needs, wants and desires in doing so, they help us to focus only on those activities that will lead us to what we want.

• Setting clearly defined goals provide you with a framework kind of a thing for smart choices. It becomes surprisingly easier to select those that will get you there exactly.

• Writing down your goals shows your intentions.

So how to identify your goals ?

• The first step to realize your vision is defining it. Sounds good and it is proven to be best way of doing it.

• If you realize your goals and aspirations then your plan towards them will take all the worries from your living. If they interrupt you can counter them since you know that you are going in the right way.

• While setting your Goals never effect your decision by comparing with others or being indifferent to your personal interests. E.g : Trying to learn something that is in demand for a while but not of your interest. This is an early sign of deviation that drives you away from them.

• Goals are those that you feel to be the permanent solution to your life.

• Aspirations are those that you must feel as to be achieved. To be simple its all about your interests mostly in your domain. Without these you feel your life to be incomplete. Now it would be easy to realize them.

How to accomplish ?

• Discipline is the virtue that attracts your mind to stay focused. It results in dedication that makes you more productive. So you progress towards your destiny.

• Never stop trying , the moment you stop doing it then it implies that you are accepting the failure. Keep trying to find new opportunities until you find what you want.

• Everyday must be a learning experience.

• Seize the opportunity when arrived and stay awake always if you want to create personal and professional life you desired.

• Approach step by step –
A big leap or jump to growth is good but not always since you might fall as quick as you climbed. So it is more prescribed if you try to grow step by step to finally reach your goal instead trying shortcuts. There are no shortcuts for bigger goals. If you want to fulfill your dream then proceed in small steps initially and once you gain confidence and support make bigger leaps.

● Great power brings great responsibility and you must be ready to even take it as you grow.

• Emotions are those that might make you to tend towards wrong decisions in your career or life so keep then in control. See that these emotions do not make a negative impact on your career.

• Patience pays, yes that is true, but it takes time. You must consider them as testing times and keep going forward with flow.

• Finally, you need to set the course of action. It makes things happen in your life rather than waiting for opportunities to land which never happens. Select goals that motivate you and boost the level of your energy. So it is always better if you set bigger goals.

In order to be successful in life and for happiness that lasts for ever it is important to know your long term goals and aspirations are. Set the short term goals like to be achieved in a month or two, medium term goals to be achieved in this year and long term goals to be met in next 3-5 years. This helps to monitor your progress and check whether you are going at a right speed and doing it in time.

Negotiation is an art and at the same it is a skill that can be acquired. The key to be successful in the process is patience. It is the only virtue that can assure you to be fruitful in your negotiations.

1) For instance, a bargain with a shopkeeper will be in your favor only if you are polite to
him. Never try to be clever and cunning when you are on for it. Your reasoning reflects the output of your negotiation since it is the driving force that convinces the other party.

2) If you are up to mark then the process of negotiation would be smooth enough when it comes to negotiating remunerations whether it is a contract or your salary.

3) If you are backed with performance then you can go ahead for what you want with a polite and elegant manner for it else you will either need to wait for some more time
or just give a try without any anticipation of getting success.

4) The kinesics which means the body language has a great influence since it reflects your feelings and shows how genuine you are.

5) Do not be too demanding and at the same time timid but try to stand on the dividing line between them.

6) Your attempt must be at the right time at the right place with the right person in a right mood.

7) Try to make the negotiation mutually beneficial to make it successful and sustain.

Be truthful, realistic and practical while trying to make the other side believe. This
will make things happen to you like a cakewalk.

9) Estimate the interests and demands of the other party whether he is your boss or a shopkeeper or a businessman and prepare your talk respectively.

10) Provide options to the other party at the same time preserve your interests. Mention
few valid, proven and genuine reasons for why you deserve the change.

You might have a fear of spoiling your working relationship so to avoid this happen see that you are reasonable. Prepare with alternatives so that you can present them if you do not get what you want. If you are supposed to make promises in return then see that they are meet at least majority them. These things will count and simplify your future attempts. Whether it is a lease, buyout, acquisition, salary, deals or penalty try to be realistic as well as do not compromise if you deserve it to happen.

Never mind if your attempt does not help you but remember that they do not harm you. After all it is business so end of the day money matters.
